Teaching Tip: Adding Music to Student Video Projects!

Hi Educators! This week’s Tip is about encouraging your students to add music to their video projects! This is a very fun process for students because they can get creative and really put their own touch on their projects. Music can set the tone, and we want your students to have fun with it!

Here are a few websites we suggest where students can find great free music (that students can use for educational purposes specifically) for their projects:

www.mobygratis.com/film-music.html

www.indabbamusic.com

We also asked our Music Supervisor, Chrystal, to give us some words of wisdom for students:

Nothing makes my day more than a perfectly placed song. It can really set the mood for a scene. This is a chance for your students to be creative. Encourage them to make their own beats or music! This is also a great time to talk about copyright and why you can’t use others music without permission. Above all, have fun with it!
