Teaching Tip: Uploading Your Video Project

Hi, Educators! If your students are having problems uploading their videos, here are some helpful tips:

Be sure the video is saved as one of these accepted formats: .wmv, .flv, .mkv, .mp4, .mpg, .dv, .avi, .mov. The file must also be less than 100MB.

If your students used their iPhones to film the video, chances are the video file format will be saved as “.mov”, which means everything is good to go. If not, the video needs to be saved in another supported file format.

To do this, go to “Share” at the top of the screen, and then select “Export using QuickTime” from the drop-down menu. After a file name and save location has been chosen, go to the “Export” drop-down and choose either “Movie to AVI” or “Movie to MPEG-4″. Next, click “Save” to finish your export.

Now it’s ready to be uploaded! Please email molly@roadtripnation.org if you have any questions!
